Zabista publishes these pages for the Zabista waitlist and the shop counter. They describe how the product works today. They are not a substitute for advice on the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist does not open a store and does not reserve a price.Zabista may use the phone or email you submit to say when Zabista is ready. One contact per shop is enough.

The counter

Zabista is a billing tool for the shop that signs in. The shopkeeper checks the bill, the HSN, the tax, and the payment before they save it. Invoice numbers are issued by the server when the bill is saved.

• Prices are the shop’s. Zabista does not set MRP.
• UPI QR codes ask the customer to pay the shop’s own UPI ID.
• Udhaar is the shop’s credit to its customer, not a loan from Zabista.
• A WhatsApp receipt goes out only when the customer has agreed, or the shopkeeper sends the link themselves.

Your customers

If you type a customer’s name or phone, you are responsible for telling them and for what you do with that khata. Read the privacy page for what the product stores.

The service

The counter needs a network connection. A bill that does not save is not a bill. Zabista can suspend a shop that misuses staff logins or tries to read another shop’s data.
